Frequently Asked Questions
Will resizing make my image blurry?
Shrinking an image keeps it sharp. Enlarging it beyond its original size can soften it, because no new detail can be invented — the tool stretches existing pixels.
What sizes should I use for social media?
Use the presets: 1080 × 1080 for square posts, 1080 × 1920 for stories and Shorts, and 1200 × 630 for link previews. You can also type any custom size.
Does the resizer keep transparency?
Yes, when you export as PNG or WebP. JPEG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white.
Why is my resized file bigger than the original?
Re-encoding an image can add overhead, so a resized file occasionally comes out bigger than the original even at smaller dimensions. The tool tells you both sizes honestly and offers one-click fixes: lower quality to 70% or convert to WebP. The resized dimensions are still applied either way.
